I’ve been so flat out with Angel duties that I forgot to mention my Purple Star.
Perhaps it’s best if I keep quiet about it, there’s been a lot of grumbling about the purple stars in the forums and it looks as though there’s more than a little ill-feeling towards them.
Some people are predicting the purple star lenses will be the death knell for squidoo and other people, not so doom-laden, see merely a cataclysmic drop to the very bottom ranks for themselves.
You can understand why I’m embarrassed to mention my own!
In my case, the purple star I have on Ancient Roman Recipes has risen a grand total of 53 places. I hope that didn’t sink the squidoo boat!
My cat has finally talked me into letting him have his own account. As long as he gets on the computer late at night when I’m sleeping it’s fine with me.
I wondered about creating an account for him and started a discussion in the forums to sound out other peoples’ feelings. Are there any advantages to having a second account? What are the disadvantages? The reaction was mixed but, on the whole, no one was against the idea.
Squidoo makes it very simple to have more than one account but that’s nothing – Squidoo makes it very easy to throw up a dozen spammy lenses in an hour as well. This doesn’t mean that we should!
In any case, I created his lensmaster account – Vladi, a shortened name for a cat with a shortened tail but his full name, Vladimir, had gone.
I transferred to him the two lenses that he had co-authored with me and now my lens count is down to 140. So I’m behind in my schedule which I had to rearrange anyway to fit in with my Angel duties. But no matter, the kids are back at school, and I have a couple more hours in the day again.
